Where is Everyone?

In the last days leading up to the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics, the city has been quiet and calm, almost eerily so.  Buses continue to ply the streets but are mostly empty.  Normally-bustling corners and sidewalk cafes show little life.  The weather has been (mostly) beautiful lately, but parks remain quiet and sparsely populated.  Here are a few scenes from the last couple of days, taken in areas and at times when I would have expected a lot more activity.

Is this just the calm before the storm, or the calm before the calm?  I guess we will find out in the next few days...
