Tilework and Windows: a Few Examples
This past weekend running errands, the tilework on a residential building near Vavin caught my eye as I was walking past. There were columns of mosaic with molded ceramic tile flowers flanking the entry and then small, coordinating mosaics without the molded flowers under the sidelites. I thought they were very beautiful.
And while I'm at it, I'll include some photos I took a couple of months ago, too. The ones below are from a church in Montmartre near the Abbesses metro stop (no, not Sacre Coeur, Saint Pierre).
And below are some vegetable and fruit tiles outside a new restaurant in Saint Germain des Pres. I love the aesthetic, and they make me want to try the restaurant.
