Signs of Spring
The weather was glorious today---loads of sun and warmth---and we're noticing more and more buds and leaves on trees, spring flowers making appearances in gardens, florist shops, and vases, and coats being shed. Even though the extended forecast suggests that winter may not have quite given up yet, today put me in a spring frame of mind. Here are some more images.
Every year, like a miracle, Spring comes round again, and the trees and meadows bedecked with fresh leaves and flowers. Easter very appropriately comes soon behind. It always brings to mind the argument for the resurrection of Christ made by a Greek peasant in a book I read long ago: "Of course Christ has risen. How could otherwise the corn grow, the trees flower, and Spring come again?".
